  • January 2007:  Hamilton Sundstrand of Windsor Locks, CT has awarded B&E Precision Aircraft Components, a B&E Group, LLC Company, a 15 year contract to produce for the JFC500 & JFC617 the Main Fuel Pump Housing.  Included with this “Long Term Agreement” are the Impellers that power the PWC535 & PWC617 engines.

    The PWC535 engines are produced by Pratt & Whitney of Canada.  These high tech engines are used to power the new, very light, jets sold as Cessna Encores, Cessna Citations, and Embraer Phenom 300’s.  The PWC617 powers the Embraer Phenom 100’s, Eclipse 500’s and the Cessna Mustangs.  The very light jets have two engines per aircraft and have a projected sale of at least 3000 aircraft over the next 15 years!

  • December 2006:  John Wilander, President & CEO of B&E Group, LLC is elected to the  Board of Directors for 2007 by the board members of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA).

  • July 2006:  B&E Precision Aircraft Components installs two Yasda 32 pallet 5 Axis horizontal machining centers, bringing the total to three Yasda machining centers.
     

  • May 2006:  B&E Precision Aircraft Components received a 100% rating
    on ISO 9001:2000 by Intertek Systems on its AS9100 Revision "B" audit.

     

  • April 2006:  B&E Aircraft Component Repair approval is continued.  B&E Aircraft Components receives its CASE compliance audit approval.
     

  • March 2006:  Accel Aviation Accessories, Inc. joins B&E Group, LLC. 
     

  • March 2006:  B&E Precision Aircraft Components receives NADCAP certification for FPI/MPI inspection.  B&E also receives approval from Hamilton Sundstrand.
     

  • February 2006:  B&E Aircraft Component Repairs adds Director of Marketing & Sales and names Karen Lyman to the position.  Karen brings with her a varied and well accomplished background in aircraft Sales & Marketing.
     

  • January 2006:  B&E Group, LLC is formed to better market the Company's capabilities.
     

  • December 2005:  B&E Aircraft Component Repair joins Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ASRA).
     

  • June 2005: AS9100 – Revision “B” and ISO 9001:2000 reassessment was completed by Intertek Systems which resulted in a perfect score of 100% (no findings). B&E has been a leader in the manufacture of complex aerospace components for over fifty years and has been ISO & AS certified since 1999.

  • March 2005: B&E “Open House” displays the latest in Hi-Tech lean manufacturing. The event was attended by a variety of customers, suppliers, local political figures and industry executives to include AIA president John Douglass.  The latest in manufacturing was up and running with the Fastems 40 pallet, 3 Niigata machining center.

  • February 2005: B&E receives UTC approval for FPI/MPI on Hamilton Sundstrand OEM material. NADCAP approval expected within 12 months.

  • January 2005: Completed state of the art temperature controlled, eight station lapping room.

  • January 2005: Value Steam Mapping (VSM) event was completed at B&E with a combined team of B&E and Hamilton Sundstrand personnel.

  • December 2004: In keeping with our commitment to continuous improvement and modernization, B&E has added a FASTEMS 40 pallet changing system which has the capacity to support three CNC machining centers for true “Lights Out” machining capability.  

  • December 2004: B&E puts final touches on a new 10,000 square foot addition. Ground breaking for the project was accelerated by over two years to meet the demand for capacity.  

  • August 2004: B&E installs 32 pallet YASDA H30i, high speed, 5 axis machining center with probing capability. This machining center provides additional 5 axis capacity and improved efficiencies (lean MFG).
